Yes, I am a lucky woman. I am 52 today. I get to live, eat, enjoy my health, work, look at the sky ( I love the sky) Who cannot believe in God looking up in the sky. Of course, you know everyone does believe, sometimes intellectuals just have a hard time.
Today was the best day. It was a fantastic day! My new friends, the 6 students I am responsible for in the hospital got to do so many things! They put in a difficult catheter in a lady who really needed it. They were very patient, and did so well! They gave all the medicines for their patients. They helped access a very sick ( very tall, strong looking man ) who had a port in his arm and needed blood. He really did not feel like 6 students in his room…but they had his blood going before they left. I think he was glad we were there. They put in a feeding tube, and cleaned horrible wounds on a lady that didn’t speak. She had to be taken off her coumadin because it was causing her blood vessels to break and developing big wounds. So,then she had a big stroke. Her son stayed with her, he was very nice.
Then we joined two other nursing groups of ours and their instructors, who are great…and we ate at O’Charleys. We were celebrating the finishing of their summer quarter, but somehow my birthday was a big party! How sweet! I realy don’t like a lot of attention. My regular job got me a present and hugs too.
Yeah, the world is right…nurses are angels! I am being happy, I usually think about the people missing on my birthday. I guess my Dad is right…I just got to share them for a while. So, I guess I will enjoy my health ( and try to take care of it). And enjoy the people I have around me now.
Wow, check out that moon tonight.
Janis Birthday was August 5th. We went down to Cuthbert, Ga and her mother had a fabulous meal for us. Brain and Jodi were there. Janis is Jodi’s Mom. Brandy and Capp were there. Brandy is Jodi’s sister and Capp is her husband, they were married this year. They wer pretty sad, they had lost their dog, it had to be put to sleep. Janis’ Mom. Elizabeth Taylor, and Mr. Taylor are really cool. Mr. Taylor is an excellent carpenter. After a while there you realize these people have never been to a furniture store. He even made the room we were sitting in. His cabinets are just to perfect to believe they did not just come with the house.
Elizabeth is a great southern cook. I really like the Bell’s but they come with tuperware and start talking about the food they have for the week. The birthday girl gets the cake and the first dibs on everything. It does not pay to be polite. I was, and now am dreaming about the ham and divinty.
The meal was garlic mashed potates, meatloaf w/ gravy. The gravy could have been considered and dish itself. Ham, greenbean casserole. rutabagas, fresh slice tomatoes, macaroni salad, sweet potato casserole, homeade rolls, yellow cake with divinity icing, homeade vanilla icecream, and I know I am forgetting something…and Elizabeth does diet during the week so she had real sweet tea, and splenda tea…thank goodness. Janis is a lucky lady! But after you meet her, you’ll say she deserves her terrific family.
I will send a photo of the family. Janis has one son,Adam, who came later and brought his mom a Red Lobster dinner. She has two girls, Jodi and Brandy. Jodi is Brian’s girl and they are engaged. Jodi is a whiz at remoldling. She was drawing up plans for her Mom’s remoldeling. James is putting in hardwoods. Brandy is a lawyer in Columbus. Janis is a nineth grade English teacher. She gives her life to that job, sometimes coming home at 8pm. Janis has lots of Brothers and sisters and one of her sisters live in Grayson around the corner from me. She teachers music in her home.
Happy Birthday to Janis.
Kevin was born on July, 29, 1981. He is smart, sweet, imaginative, and like my sister always sees good in other people. He rarely thinks bad of anyone. He has so much patience with people.

It has been four years Sally. I miss you so much. I did not keep my promise, I still cry a lot. You were just too good to me. We miss your smile, your interest in us, and your beautiful ways. I am selfish, I miss you to talk to. There is never going to be anyone like my little sister to grow old with. I miss spending time with you and your sweetheart, Arthur.
May will be a busy month…Jodi’s Birthday May 18th, it was Sally’s 20th , the 20th is Shamsa’s birthday ( she is one of my favorite co workers, she is from Pakistan). It would have been my Mothers on the 16th.
Jodi’s sister, Brandy is getting married in Columbus, GA May 21, and we are invited.
What do you think about the runaway bride? I think she was overwhelmed and depressed, stressed, and handled it the way she handles stuff. Some people don’t feel comfortable talking with others, or are not really close on some level. I think if she was depressed, she may surely kill herself now. I cannnot imagine having so many people knowing and evaluating my flaws. When she was missing we wanted her to be found, now we want to torture her. If I were her mother I would be so happy she was alive!!!!!!
Speaking of being a mother…Her is a favorite of my prescious boys for MY Mothers Day.
It is my Dad’s birthday today May 6th so here is a picture of him. 79 years old today.Happy Birthday!
I am going to write some more nonsense later.
I dedicate this page to my friends Lisa Tam and Jackie Goodman, I like them sooooo much that I love them. They are both such good friends. They cheer you just knowing they will always be there for you and are always the same.
I have had some people in my life that have been dear like a mother, but there is nothing like your mama. Sometimes people don’t really realize it til it’s gone. There is a new song out that has that lyric. If I were smart like my boys I would post the song for you. Enjoy the pic…. Until later, Roselyn

One of my favorite people in the world. What a special person he is to so many of us. He is a wonderful son, and friend to me. I know mothers think their kids are special, Brian has always been. He loved being outdoors, on his hotwheel, or with his dog and wagon, watching sesame street, or being read to. He loved plain yogurt, and cheerios. I thought he would have made a good commercial for them. He has grown up to be a wonderful man, and so interesting. He was always so smart…kinda like he was here before. He has brought lots of happiness to this family.
Happy Birthday Charles Brian Quinn.
