">Dad’s Birthday
May 6> 2004 is Dad’s Birthday! Dad, Jimmy, and I just got back from South–middle Georgia. We visited relatives, my Mom’s gravesite, and ate out a lot!
Here is a picture of the house my Dad grew up in. Also a picture of his Aunt Margaret, who is just 4 years older, and was like a sister to him. Hearing some of the stories, I realized that life was “ROUGH” for boys, men. When they played baseball, if they couldn’t get someone out they would signal head, and they would throw the ball at the persons head and knock him out. They worked in the fields 16 hrs a day when it was the season. No wonder guys have trouble with their ” feminine side” they weren’t allowed any. They used to walk a lot back then, Margaret said ” sure, I would walk a mile and a half to ask my Mom if I could spend the night with someone, then walk back to tell them.”
Happy Birthday to Charles Clayton Studstill!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
